PROVE:

ar(APB)=ar(BQC).

PROOF:

In the diagram it can be observed that, triangle BQC and parallelogram ABCD lie on the same base and between same parallel lines.

therefore, ar(triangle BQC)=1/2ar (ABCD) (eq.1)

similarly, in triangle APB and parallelogram ABCD lie on the same base and between same parallel lines.

therefore, ar(triangle APB) =1/2 ar(ABCD )

from eq. 1 and 2,we get,

ar(triangle BQC) =ar(triangle APB)

hence proved.
