Infectious diseases are spread by different means. They are:-

THROUGH AIR:An infected person when sneezes or coughs, it releases droplets containing germs. These droplets infect another person through air and the microbes enter a new body. EXAMPLE:common cold, tuberculosis and pnewmonia

THROUGH WATER:If the water source is polluted by excreta of infectious person who is suffering from gut disease and this water is used by another healthy persons, then they will be infected by disease. EXAMPLE: cholera, kepatities.

THROUGH SEXUAL CONTACT:Some diseases like AIDS and syphilis, etc are transmitted by sexual contact. AIDS virus also spread through blood, infected syringes, infected mother to her baby during pregnancy and by breast feeding.

THROUGH VECTORS:These are some animals which carry disease from infected person to a healthy person. EXAMPLE:mosquito.
