1.the plants bear naked seeds
2.phloem does not contain companion cell
3.ovules are not enclosed in ovary

in angiosperms  :-
   - they are flowering plant whose seeds contains fruits 
  e.g. rice , oats , etc.
in gymnosperms :-
   - they are flowering plants whose seeds are naked 
   - they are woody and have seeds on external surface 
e.g. pinus , etc.
