acceleration = a = 0.1 m / s²
u = initial speed = 0 as starts from rest
time duration = 2 min = 120 seconds during which acceleration is uniformly applied.
v = final velocity = u + a t = 0 + 0.1 * 120 =
= 12 m/sec
distance traveled = s = (v + u) * t /2 = 12 * 120 /2 = 720 meters
or,
s = distance = (v² - u²) / (2 a)
= 12² / (2 * 0.1 )
= 720 meters
