In the poem 'The Squirrel' the poet Mildred Bowers Armstrong describes a squirrel that he observes in his garden. The poet describes how the squirrel, covered in gray fur, sits in an upright position on a tree branch eating a nut. His tail looks like a question mark because of its bent shape.

The poet tells about quarrel that takes place with his brother. He doesn't even know the reason for the quarrel. It is very common for brothers and sisters to quarrel without any reason. The poet says that the quarrel started over trivial matter but its consequence became serious. No one was eager to accept their fault. Everything around became bitter. But when his brother confessed that he was in the wrong things brightened up. In the afternoon, something went wrong. Then, suddenly, his brother hit him on the back and asked him to come along as it is not possible or right to linger the issues throughout the night. He also claimed to be on the wrong side. So he was actually right. It shows his generosity.
