Q1. How many times did you fall in the last 1 years? What were the illness?
(A) Think of one change you could make in your habits in order to avoid any of / most of the above illness.
(B) Think of one change you want fish for in your surroundings in order to avoid any of / most of the above illness.
ANS
I fell ill twice in the last year. The diseases, from which I suffered a common cold, cough and fever.
1 ) The changes, I will make in my habits after suffering these disease are:
✴️ Should avoid the company of person suffering from cough and cold.
✴️ Wear suitable clothes in order to give protection to the body during changing season and against mosquito bite.
✴️ I will always drink clean, pure water and wash hands before eating anything.
2 ) Changes in surroundings :
✴️ I will keep my surroundings clean so that disease spreading vectors ( for example mosquito) could not multiply.
✴️ The intake of impure water is the main cause of many infectious diseases . Thus, to remain protected from diseases causing pathogens, pure drinking water should always be available in the surroundings
✴️ Improve the sanitary conditions in the surroundings.
✴️ Do not allow water to collect near the houses, because it provides the breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Q2. A doctor/ nurse / health worker is exposed to more sick people than other is the community . Find out how she/ he avoids getting sick herself / himself.

A doctor / nurse / health worker takes following precautions to avoid getting sick:
✴ Wear masks while diagnosing mouth or chest infections.
️✴️ Clean hands and wear gloves even while doing minor surgery.
✴️ Get immunization done against all the infectious disease.
✴️ Take balanced diet ( especially rich in proteins) to strength their immune system.
✴️ Dispose off blood samples, urine or stool, sputum , etc. , carefully
✴️ Keep work place sterilized by using phenyl, etc.

Q3. Conduct a survey in your neighborhood to find out what the three most common diseases are. Suggest three steps that can be taken by your local authorities to bring down the incidence of these diseases.

(a) Symptoms which help in finding that the baby is sick are :
✴️ Continuous crying
✴ Redness of eyes
️✴️ Loose motions
✴️ High body temperature
(b) Signs which help to indicate the sickness in baby are:
✴️ Loose motions and stomach pain indicate diarrhoea.
✴️ High fever, headache, muscular pain, shivering and feeling very cold indicate malaria.
✴️ Redness and persistent rubbing of Eyes indicate eye flu.
✴ Pale skin, yellow urine and yellowing of eye indicate jaundice.
️✴️ Doctors suggest for laboratory tests, if there is fever with no other symptoms, to find out the kind of sickness.
