NCERT SOLUTIONS pg-130 in english (snake poem) question no: 6 is answer is incorrect. The snake was conscious of the poet's presence. This is well revealed through the lines"AND HE LOOKED AT ME VAGUELY, AS DRINKING CATTLE DO,"

Yes there is some mistake as the line says he looked at me vaguely meaning that he was unclear about the view. The snake was looking at the poet but he was not certain about what it was looking at. he was unable to make the difference
