Give reasons why :

(a) Waste water should not be allowed to stagnate in puddles.
(b) Waste water from a factory should not be allowed to mix with drinking water.
(c) Rubber, plastic should not be burnt.
(d) The quantity and types of garbage generated have increased.

a) The sewage stagnating in places make a perfect breeding ground for disease-causing flies and mosquitoes.
b) Wastewater, if allowed to mix with the drinking water can cause many harmful diseases as it contains many harmful microbes and other contaminants.
c) If rubber and plastic are burnt they would produce many harmful gases which are not supported for human survival.
d) Due to great industrialisation and building up of any factories and other garbage producing activities the quantity and types of garbage generated have increased.
