Would the bulb glow after completing the circuit shown in Fig. 12.14, if we use an eraser instead of a safety pin?

NO, THE BULB WILL NOT GLOW BECAUSE ERASER IS AN INSULATOR (NON-CONDUCTOR) OF ELECTRICITY AND HENCE IT WILL NOT ALLOW ELECTRICITY TO PASS THROUGH IT.

the bulb glows when there is a safety pin, because it is a good conductor (i.e. it conducts electricity) , while the eraser is an insulatr (i.e. it does resists electricity) hence when we use eraser at the place of safety pin, the bulb does not glow...
