1   Pick out the line that suggests that the child is afraid of snakes.    i saw  a  snake  and run away.
2   Which line shows a complete change of the child's attitude towards snakes..   there is no mistake it just a harmless  garden snake...
3   mother  is referring to the garden  snake ,   which is harmless  as it eats up  only  insects  for its food.............
