Plants absorb water from the soil and release it in the form of water vapour throgh the process of transpiration . Deforestation leads to cutting down of the trees . As a result less water is absorbed from the soil. This disturbs the water cycle and leads to reduced rainfall.

Trees play an important role in nature.it is the cause of rainfall.More water the roots of trees or the soil will get, the better will be the rain.Deforestation is the process of cutting trees or disappearance of trees. the less number of trees will be left , there will be less rain. With the help of process of transpiration trees become a source of help causing rainfall . This is how deforestation leads to reduced rainfall.
