In case of a fire, before the firemen use the water hoses, they shut off the main electrical supply for the area. Explain why they do this.

According to me they shut off the main electrical supply for the area because the tanks which are with the firemen contain mostly 98% carbon dioxide,1% lithium and 1% oxygen. The lithium gas when combined with electric current produces a bang which is because of the presence of vibratory organisms in earth's crust.

water is a good conductor of electricity and if water touches any naked wire in that fire the current will flow though the water and may hurt anyone
