The narrative tells us that Bauakes exchanged clothing with a merchant near the beginning. This is a part of the tale "A Just Judge."
- A king of Algeria by the name of Bauakas was curious as to whether or not it was true what he had been informed about the existence of a righteous judge in one of his cities who could instantly tell the truth and from whom no villain could ever hide.
- After exchanging clothes with a shopkeeper, Bauakas mounted his horse and rode to the city where the judge resided.
- He desired to observe the judge conducting his business as usual, unaffected by the king's presence, so he came in disguise as a merchant.
- If the King had arrived in his usual attire, the judge's decision most likely would have been slightly affected.
The King entered in disguise for this reason, so. We can see that the King reveals his true identity to the judge toward the conclusion of the narrative and commends him for his excellent work.
