1. Since 1996 no single party has been able to form govt. At centre alone.

So, National parties form quolition with state party form govt.

2. This helps in strengthening democracy and federalism .

3. State parties in this way get the benefit to show up their ideology at National level and get a chance to share rule at National level despite being a state party .

Eg. Akali dal and RJD are state parties in Quolition with National Party BJP.
