Condition for the formation of covalent bond:-

  1. Both the atoms will have Hai electronic electronegativity.
  2. The electronegativity difference between the combining atom should either be zero on negligible.
  3. Both the atoms should have high electron affinity.
  4. Both atoms should have four or more electrons in the outermost shells.
  5. Both atom should have high ionization energy.
