●Precautions to be taken during an earthquake are:

◆ First of all STAY CALM AND DONT PANIC.

◆If you're outdoors, stay outside but try to find an open place out of the reach of buildings and overhead electrical wires

◆If you're indoors, stay inside but try to find a rigid support like a walland stand against a wall, stand in a doorway, or crawl under heavy furniture (a desk or table). Stay away from windows and outside doors.

◆If you're in a car, stop the car and stay inside the car until the earthquake stops. It is one of the best place to stay safe.

◆Don't at all use elevators (they'll probably get stuck anyway).

●Precautions to be taken after an earthquake

◆Check yourself and your family members and relatives for any injuries. Provide first aid for anyone who needs it.

◆Check for damage in the water, gas tank or any electricity flaws. If any are damaged, shut them off.

◆Turn on the radio for any information about the earthquake. Don't use the phone or any electrically operates devices unless it's an emergency.

◆Be careful around broken glass and other harmful debris. Wear shoes to keep from damaging your feet.

◆Stay away from beaches. Tsunamis sometimes hit after the ground has stopped shaking.

◆Don't relax as the shaking has stopped because there may be aftershocks.

HOPE IT HELPS....... :-)

Answer:

To protect yourself from earthquakes:

1. Drop down and take cover under a desk or table and hold on.

2. Stay indoors until the shaking stops and you are sure it's safe to exit.

3. Stay away from bookcases or furniture that can fall on you.

4. Stay away from windows. In a high-rise building, expect the fire alarms and sprinklers to go off during an earthquake.

5. If you are outdoors, find a clear spot away from buildings, trees, and power lines. Drop to the ground
