‘Necessity is the mother of invention’.This phrase tells us how our necessity has led to new inventions such as wheels, tools etc.The wheel has been invented because mankind didn't have anything to travel faster. The wheel later was added to their cart which did not have a wheel at first. This was because they needed it to carry large things which they could not transport by themselves. Thus necessity was the main cause of making the wheel and cart. And they kept making changes to the wheel and cart which led to the development of the modern day wheel. And in case of tools and weapons, the early people needed them for cutting meat scraping the skins of dead animals and needed them for defense against wild animals. Now speaking of clothing, the modern day clothes differ vastly from early stone age clothes. This was because they could not survive the harsh weather without inventing new clothes. Now on to the final thing, which is shelter.A shelter is the most important thing to survive harsh weather, ferocious animals, etc. So they needed to develop the type of shelter which could themselves from these. This is how necessity led to new inventions.

(Note:Sorry if it became too long please shorten it a little if you could and forgive me if there are any spelling mistakes
