Thomas Wilcox has played a small character in Gulliver's travel. He is the captain of the ship. He did not believe him (Gulliver) at first and thought that the Gulliver was punished to be in the giant box for some reason.The captain agreed later when Gulliver proved him the truth. After that Thomas Wilcox dropped him back to home.

Thomas Wilcox and really a minor character in the story. He seems like a good captain. He does not believe Gulliver at final but then decides Gulliver is telling the truth .He is enthralled by Gulliver's stories and encourages Gulliver to write down and publish his stories.
