Explanation:

Velocity of electron in nth orbit of H atom: Vn = V1/n = 2.19× 10^6

If,

n=2,

Vn = 2.19 × 10^6/n m/s

Radius of n=2 orbit, Rn = n²R1

Rn = 4 × 5.3 × 10^ -11m

Number of revolutions made in 1 sec,

= Vn/2πr = 2.19× 10^6/ 2×2π×4×5.3×10^-11

no. of revs in 10^-8 secs,

= 2.19×10^6×10^-8/ 2×2π×4×5.3×10^-11

= 8.22 × 10^6 revs.
