Sun is classified as a star. This is because Sun produces huge amount of heat energy and light. It have so much mass. Our Sun is the head of solar system. Sun has a mass of about 99.9% of total solar system mass.

Sun is the yellow star. During its death, it will become red giant star and then it will become white dwarf in its last stage.
