To find :

» Mean height of a child in the class.

Solution :

Mean formula :-

Mean = sum of the observations

Total number of observations

Here ,

Sum of the observations = 8 + 10 + 15 + 10 + 7 = 50

Total number of observations = 5

By substituting in the mean formula we get

Mean = 50 / 5 = 10

» Mean = 10

If you are asked to find median , we must know what is the median !!

Median ~ Median is the mid - value of the data or given information.

Here ,

Median = 15
