It is absolutely true a person's inner belief, mental strength along with other people's assistance help him during times of crisis. Both the factors are very crucial in facing the crisis and emerging victorious out of it.

In the first part of the story, His First Flight, the young seagull was afraid to fly; if his mother would not have encouraged him to fly, he would have probably dies sitting on the ledge.

In the second part of the story, The Black Aeroplane, the narrator, though he was courageous, was steered out of the storm by a black aeroplane that appeared in the sky from nowhere. If the black aeroplane had not guided the narrator, his plane would surely have crashed.

In both the stories outside help as well as inner belief proved to be a great help in overcoming the crisis.
