Answer:

Option(D)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Equations are :

(i) 3x + 2y = 7

(ii) 2x + 3y = 3

(iii)

On adding (i) & (ii), we get

⇒ 3x + 2y + 2x + 3y = 7 + 3

⇒ 5x + 5y = 10

⇒ x + y = 2    ------- (iii)

(iv)

On subtracting (i) & (ii), we get

⇒ 3x + 2y - 2x - 3y = 7 - 3

⇒ x - y = 4

On solving (iii) & (iv), we get

⇒ x + y = 2

⇒ x - y = 4

   ---------------

  2x = 6

   x = 3

Substitute x = 3 in (iii), we get

⇒ x + y = 2

⇒ 3 + y = 2

⇒ y = -1

Now,

x - y = 3 - (-1)

       = 3 + 1

       = 4.

Therefore, the value of x - y = 4.

Hope it helps!
