a boy is making a hollow half spherical shape using plasticine. its
density is 1.85 gr/cm³. the outer diameter of the plasticine is 20 cm
and its inner diameter is 9.8 cm. after that, the boy makes it as a
small boat to carry some objects. when the boat is still empty the part
of the boat that immersed in the water is only 12% of the boat. Decide :
a. mass of plasticine being used

b. weight of the boat outside water

c. buoyancy force acting on the boat

C. Buoyancy is acting on the boat. Mass is never responsible for the immersion of the boat. Weight outside the water is a different story.
