Answer:

10 Lakhs

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose Q gets 100 votes

Then P gets 220 votes as its 120% more than Q

P = 3.5 Lakhs + R (P beats R)

Q - R (Q beats R) = 5% of (P+Q+R) = 5/100 x (P+Q+R) = (P+Q+R)/20......(i)

Solving (i)  by putting P = 220, Q= 100, we get: R = 80

P - R = 220 - 80 = 140 (P beats R)

If 140 constitutes to 3.5 Lakhs then Q's 100 would constitute to:

Q = (3.5 Lakhs x 100)/140 = 2.5 Lakhs

If Q's 100 constitutes to 2.5 Lakhs then P's 220 would constitute to:

P = (220 x 2.5 Lakhs)/100 = 5.5 Lakhs

P = 3.5 Lakhs + R (P beats R) then:

R = 2 Lakhs

Total votes polled are: 5.5 Lakhs + 2.5 Lakhs + 2 Lakhs = 10 Lakhs
