WILL MARK BRAINLIEST
( book is JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF EARTH )

Choose to depict one character: Hans, Harry, or the Professor.

Look for at least five passages from the text that show their character. Organize your passages with a brief explanation of what characteristic it shows.

Example:

Gretchen’s feelings toward Harry are lukewarm, but kind. Quotation: “So you have come to meet me,” she said; “how good of you. But what is the matter?”

Gretchen’s love of adventure shows she would be thrilled to journey underground and is an adventurous person. Quotation: “What a magnificent journey. It is magnificent, splendid.”

Answer: This is the character sketch of hans and a couple of quotes from the respective book. Hope this helps you to a little extent.

Explanation:

Quotes:

While there is life there is hope. I beg to assert...that as long as a man's heart beats, as long as a man's flesh quivers, I do not allow that a being gifted with thought and will can allow himself to despair.

I looked on, I thought, I reflected, I admired, in a state of stupefaction not altogether unmingled with fear!

Passage :

Hans, an eider-gatherer from Iceland, does the most labor for the crew. He is a very strong and hard worker, so he often carries things that Axel and the Professor are not fit enough to. Hans is very indifferent, and rarely shows emotion or states an opinion on an issue. He is very loyal, but only as long as he is paid money. He stated before the journey that he would go as far as the Professor's scientific expeditions would take him, but he would leave immediately if he did not receive his money on Saturday, his payday. He will do whatever the Professor, his "Master", will tell him because that is who pays him.
