Given :   g(x) has a domain -1≤ x ≤4  and range is 0≤ g(x)≤ 18

               g(-1) = 2 g(2) = 8

To Find :  Correct statement for g(x)

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Step 1 : OPTION 1 , g(3) = 18

Option 1 is true  because 3 is in domain of g(x) and 18 is in range of          g(x)

  • Step 2 : OPTION 2 , g(1) = -2

Option 2 is not true because because -2 is not in range of g(x)

  • Step 3 : OPTION 3, g(5) = 12

Option 3 is not true because 5 is not in domain of g(x)

  • Step 4 : OPTION 4 , g(2) = 4

Option 4 is not true because it is given is question that g(2)=8 and in function one element of domain can not have more than one image

OPTION 1 g(3) = 18  is true
