1)  7x-7y=20 .  2) x+7y=16

X= 0.67 rounded to the nearest hundredth

Y=2.19 rounded to the nearest hundredth

7(16-7y)-7y=20 .    (substitution)

(112-49y)-7y=20 .  (distribution)

112-42y=20 .         (combine like terms)

-42y=-92 .            (subtract 112 from both sides of this equation)

y=2.19 .                (rounded to the nearest hundredth)

x+(7*2.19)=16

x=0.67
