After WW2 there was a baby boom because 1) the troops were back after a long time 2) the US was celebrating another WW win.
Explanation:
WW2 lasted 2 years (the US joined December 7, 1941) , and many of the soldiers were deployed for that long. So after winning another World war and coming back, Americans celebrated! (and did the dirty too :/) Thus producing a baby boom.
