Let speed of stream be x
Distance= speed × time
speed of water upstream = x - 35 km/h
speed of water downstrem = x + 35 km/ h
Time downstream = 1 and 1/2 hours = 3/2 hr.
Time upstream = 2 hours
According to question,
3/2(x - 35) = 2(x + 35)
3/2×2(x - 35) = x + 35
3(x - 35) = x + 35
3x - 105 = x + 35
3x - x = 35 + 105
2x = 140
x = 140/2
= 70 km/h Ans
