NEET exam has been recently introduced in the country. There are both plus and minus points associated with this exam. So, it is neither a bane nor a boon fully.
There are very few MBBS seats for students across the country is very less. Usually, each college conducts its test separately. This results in a major expense to procure the application forms from each college and to commute to various exam centers. With NEET, these expenses reduce as there is just one exam for all the colleges. Students also face less pressure as they do not have to study different board’s exams.
However, rural students often have a syllabus that is different from urban students. Thus, this gives them lesser chances of entering well-known colleges. Also, these students often do not have opportunities to attend coaching classes for this exam.
