No, we do not agree with Neeta that all plants have the same kind of stem. It is not true. For example, the stems of newly grown plants is soft and weak. By the time it grows, its stem grows and becomes thick and ultimately when it becomes an adult its stem changes to cork or bark.
Similarly, stems of herbs are soft as compared to shrubs.
