let amount in account p = x
amount in account q = p-405.5
=x-405.5
Now,she transferred 48.4 rs. to q from p.
Now,p= x-48.4
q= x-405.5+48.4
Given ,p=4q
x-48.4=4(x-405.5+48.4)
x-48.4= 4x- 1428.4
x-4x=-1428.4+48.4
-3x= -1380
x=1380/3
x= 460
So,there were rs. 460 earlier in account P....
Hope this helped u.
