Math, asked by shivasaisagar906, 1 year ago

Neha went to a 'sale' to purchase some pants and skirts. When her friend asked her how
many of each she had bought, she answered, "the number of skirts are two less than twice
the number of pants purchased and the number of skirts is four less than four times the
number of pants purchased."
Help her friend to find how many pants and skirts Neha bought

no. of skirt is x

no. of pants is y

2y - x=2(1)

4y - x=4(2)

by subtracting (1) from (2) we get

2y-x=2

4y-x=4

________

6y=6

y=1

2y-x=2

-x=0

x=0

Neha bought 1 pant and no skirt
