This simple truth has proven successful for Ms. Susmita, who was crowned Miss India 2018 in Boko on December 24th, 2018.
Ms. Susmita is the youngest to be crowned Miss India since its inception.
Hailing from a small town in Kamrup district, Ms. Susmita has always been anything but beauty conscious. Her parents always encouraged her to be independent.
Susmita's dream has always been to become a doctor and she worked hard towards it.
When asked about her idea of competing for Miss India, she said," "One day my friends in college were filling up forms for the preliminary rounds of the contest.
And there was no looking back after that.""
