After independence from the British in 1990, South Africans of colour suggested that the country must follow "Reservation In Education". By this, they meant to reserve admissions or seats for black African tribes etc.
However, Mandela was against the concept as he believed that a country's destruction was not by atomic bombs but by lowering the quality of education.
He said that it would stop the country from progressing and destruct the concept of equality which he preached.
