By An extraordinary human disaster, Nelson Mandela meant the practice of apartheid in South Africa. During apartheid regime there was racial segregation based on skin colour of the people. Black people didn't not even had constitutional rights. Now that the practice is ended, it is the beginning of a new tolerant society, which is really a glorious human achievement.
