In 2006, Democracy Movement was started against the undemocratic rule of Kind Gyanandra and this movement was known as Jan Andolan or people’s movement in Nepal.
This was a political agitation against the kingship system of Nepal. After this movement, the Locktantra Andolan Government was established in Nepal and the power of the king was abolished by the parliamentary system.
