Let me help you to answer this out;

  • The nervous system controls all the activities of the body system, they work hand in hand whereby after a reaction has occur the nervous system stimulates the hormonal system to produce the required to curb and to aid for a particular biological process in the body.

Answer:

Explanation:

The nervous system transmits messages in form of electricity which is super fast but only causes short term effects like muscle contraction

The endocrine system transmits messages in form of chemicals which is super slow but very long lasting

These two are connected by hypothalamus attached to base of brain which is connected to the pituitary.Hypothalamus is controlled by brain and pituitary controls the whole endocrine system.

So, when the brain wants the body cells to perform a passive function like growth, maturation, production of a substance etc. it uses the endocrine system and when it wants the body to do more active functions like muscle contraction during exercise, well it does that with help of neurons
