Most neurons have several dendritesand one axon. Because of their multiple processes, these are termed multipolar neurons. Simpler unipolar (one-process) and bipolar (two-process) neurons are much less common in vertebrate than in invertebrate nervous systems

neurons that have several dendrites and one axon are called multipolar neuron. these neurons are present in human central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. at some places like retina of eye while unipolar neurons having axon only are found in embryonic stage of humans.
