• Neutralization is a chemical reaction in which an acid reacts with a base in order to form salt and water.

• It has many uses which are as follow : ―
1. On being stung by a bee, formic acid enters our skin which in turn gives pain. This pain can be relieved if we rub the spot with either slaked lime or baking soda which are actually bases.

2. When acid accidentally falls on our clothes or body then we can neutralize it's effect using ammonia solution which again is a base.

3. Often slaked lime which is a base is added to soil if it is acidic and thus unsuitable for growing certain crops.

In chemistry,
During a chemical reaction of acid and Base, acid and Base reacts to form salt and water and resultant doesn't have acidity nor basicity so this reaction is called neutralisation reaction
Only if both are strong acid and strong base and of same amount by mole.
If one is more acidic or more basic then resultant will be acidic or basic as u have understood
