Never look directly at a solar eclipse. It will damage your eye. There is a simple method of
watching a solar eclipse. Make a small, clean hole with a pin on a sheet of cardboard.
Stand with your back to the sun and point the pinhole towards the sun. Light from all parts
of the sun will pass through the hole and fall on the ground. This will create a copy of the
sun. or its image, on the ground. When the eclipse begins, you will see its image, too.
