Hi Buddy ✌️✌️

Good Morning ^_^

➡️ SMOOTH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (SER) - SER helps in manufacturing fat molecules or lipids , important for cell function . Some of these proteins and lipids are used in building the cell membrane . This is known as MEMBRANE BIOGENESIS .

SER plays a crucial role in detoxifying many poisons and drugs

➡️ ROUGH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (RER) - RER looks rough under microscope because it has particles attached to its surface called RIBOSOMES . RIBOSOMES , which are present in all active sites act as protein manufacture. These manufactured proteins are then sent to various places in the cell depending upon the need using the ER.
