Education is the imparting and acquiring of knowledge through teaching and learning . Education is not only imparted in schools , colleges , universities ,institutions etc but it can be acquired at any phase of our life. Education can be acquired anywhere and everywhere. Right from our birth we had been acquiring education.Like for example when a baby is born he/she does not know how to eat,drink,walk etc but gradually it learns everything . This is possible only through education.
In ancient times, education was based only upon religion,customs and traditions . The students basically learn about Gods,kings and queens. The children used to sit down under a tree and gain knowledge from their gurus. The skills which they impart or practice were basically inherited from their ancestors. It was only theoretical. There were no practical work. There were no written tests. They were far far away from science and technology .So, as it was mainly based upon the customs and traditions of the society on which the person lives , It was named as traditional education.
In modern days,all the education that is imparted today in the schools,colleges etc are termed as new system of education or mainly modern system of education. It includes all the aspects of science and technology. It deals with the skills required to attain a fruitful life.It is formal in nature . It includes examinations, tests,practicals within it. Now a student has no need to wait for anyone to teach him/her. The internet fulfills this requirement. Internet has been exploring every nook and corner of the world. With just one click everything is right before our eyes.
Education is very important to us . It is the key to success.It illuminates a person's life and make him/her lead a more peaceful and successful life ahead.
