It is good to be inspired and motivated at the start of the year. Like you, I looked for inspiration. I found one when I opened the gift of a young seminarian: an image of the Blessed Mother Teresa. She is regarded by many as a modern-day saint, practically a miracle away to being one. Her beatification in 2003, they said, took the shortest period in history (she died in 1997).

Mother Teresa was captivating for her words of love, knowledge, and inspiration. Her life was spent with the poorest of the poor. She cared for them like family.
