Law of octaves. Law of octaves, in chemistry, the generalization made by the English chemist J.A.R. Newlands in 1865 that, if the chemical elements are arranged according to increasing atomic weight, those with similar physical and chemical properties occur after each interval of seven elements.

according to the newlands law of octaves when the elements are arranged in the order of increasing atomic masses then every 8th element starting from first is a repetition of the first element .
it is very similar to the music notes that's why it's name is law of Octave

Dkhansahab: Every elements are starting from first repetition means
Dkhansahab: I mean 8th elements
Dkhansahab: i can't understand
HimaniVarshney: It means similat to the note of music... like we start from "sa" and end at "ni"(7th place) then again get "sa"(which is similar to 1st "sa")
