• As soon as I walked in, I noticed that everything had been moved from its original location.The television was on, my cabinet was open, and I had all of my things spread out on the bed.The tap was open, and the bucket was likewise overflowing with water.
• I was unable to comprehend what had occurred in the house.I had read numerous robbery, kidnapping, and other news stories in the newspaper in the morning.I was terrified to death.I called out to my mother once again, but she didn't respond.I looked in every room, but all I discovered was quiet.My mother's phone was in the house when I tried to call her. I went to my neighbour, Mr. Singh, and inquired if they knew anything, but they were unable to provide any information.
• I made the decision to phone my family, but just then, a car pulled up to my door and someone began repeatedly honking.To my surprise, as I hurried to the door to check who it was, my folks were already there.They were as shocked to see me as I was them.When she saw me, my mother sobbed bitterly and gave me a hug.She continuously kissed my forehead.
• After a brief period of shock and amazement, I questioned them about their whereabouts.My father indicated that a man had called my mother to tell her that a boy wearing a school uniform and riding a bicycle had been struck by a car.The identity card he was wearing provided them with the number.They became alarmed, believing I had been in an accident.
• They ran to the scene in terror and panic, leaving everything as it was, only to discover that the youngster had been taken to a local hospital.When they arrived at the hospital, they discovered that the boy's condition was critical and that an immediate operation was required.
• The youngster was so battling death in the operating room.They waited until the procedure was over before the doctor emerged, grinning, and declared that the youngster would soon make a full recovery.They exhaled a sigh of relief before running back home because they believed I would be there to greet them.
• This made them happier when they saw I was secure.After hearing their tale, I explained to them that my friend and I had been doing a practical joke when I gave him my identity card and promptly forgot to take it after school.We were nevertheless relieved that everything went according to plan.
