Naihati 6th June : Yesterday, the students of our school organised an remarkable Tree Plantation programme in the school-adjoining area on the World Environment Day. The senior students of our school selected an empty place and the roadsides to plant the saplings in a well-organised manner. The municipality co-operated with us by supplying the

saplings in a large number. To maintain the ecological balance this programme was organised with lot of sincerity and seriousness. Participation from all classes was much enthusiastic.

Girl students planted saplings, and boys fenced them and little children of class V watered the plants. Therefore, the representatives of the administration and the officials of forest department and other dignitaries appreciated our each and every attempt. This programme created a great enthusiasm among all the students and also among guardians and general public. At the very end of the programme an oath was taken by us that we must take much care about the saplings and should not cut trees ruthlessly
