Kolkata, August 15, Yesterday Kanyashree Divas was celebrated with pomp and grandeur in several government schools of Kolkata to commemorate the importance of the Kanyashree project.
This project was initiated by the honorable chief minister of West Bengal, Dr Mamata Banerjee to provide education to girls from all strata of the society and put a ban against child marriage.
Girls from different schools participate in various competitions and were felicitated by the members of the Trinamool Congress party.
Kanyashree Divas is the day that is celebrated on the 14th of August to make the success of the project Kanyashree that is commended by CM Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.
It is mainly to felicitate girls in order to be successful in the competition that is going around to ensure their reliability and motivate them.
