I disagree completely that newspapers will remain the main source of news in the future. We are living in the IT era where internet has already taken over everything. Similarly the area of news has also been impacted hugely by internet.

With each passing day, everything is becoming dependent on internet. All newspapers have made their websites and publish their newspapers online. Online newspapers are being read much more than the paper newspapers.

E-newspapers have many advantages over paper newspapers such as e-newspapers are environment friendly, cheaper, easily available, trentdier, more efficient as they update every hour; there is no botheration of storing them, etc.

In the future the day is not far when the paper newspapers will be replaced by internet outright.

I agree that newspaper will remain the main source of news in the future inspite of the growing reach of internet news.

In a country like India where more than half of the population does not have access to the internet or computers, newspapers are the only source of news early in the morning.

Newspapers are published in national as well as regional languages which cannot be done by internet news.

Newspapers reach small cities and even remote villages where even semi-educated people can read a newspaper but cannot connect to the internet.
